At Canal Car Wash, we value our customers and take pride in providing a safe, high-quality wash experience. While our equipment is designed to safely clean your vehicle, we ask all customers to review the following policies and guidelines before entering the wash.
Incidental Damage Policy
Canal Car Wash is not responsible for incidental or pre-existing vehicle damage that may occur during the wash or vacuum process, including but not limited to:
- Existing scratches, dents, rust, tears, paint chips, discoloration, or deterioration
- Loose or damaged trim, moldings, mirrors, or accessories
- Windshield stress cracks or chipped glass that may spread during washing
- Damage to windshield wipers, rear wipers, antennas, roof racks, trailer hitch caps, or hood ornaments
- Aftermarket or non-factory-installed accessories such as bug shields, spoilers, sun visors, running boards, magnetic signs, and custom attachments
- Loose wheel covers, wheel center caps, valve stems, chrome or alloy wheels
- Headlights, taillights, reflectors, or sunroofs
- Vehicles more than 10 years old or with over 100,000 miles
- Damage caused by the negligence or actions of other drivers/customers
Customers are responsible for ensuring all vehicle parts and accessories are securely attached prior to entering the wash.
Limit of Liability
Canal Car Wash’s total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount paid for the wash service, except in cases where damage is directly caused by a verified malfunction of our equipment.
Repair & Damage Claim Policy
Canal Car Wash will accept responsibility for damage directly caused by a malfunction of our equipment during the wash process, provided that:
- The damage is not related to a pre-existing condition
- The damage does not fall under incidental damage listed above
- The damage was not caused by another customer’s actions or negligence
Any damage claim must be reported to a Canal Car Wash team member immediately and before the vehicle leaves the property. Claims reported after leaving the premises cannot be verified and will not be accepted.
If damage is determined to have resulted directly from equipment malfunction, Canal Car Wash may request that the vehicle be inspected by a reputable repair facility to obtain a repair estimate.
Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy
Before entering the wash, owners of electric vehicles should review and follow all manufacturer-recommended car wash procedures.
This may include:
- Activating “Car Wash Mode” if equipped
- Ensuring windows are fully closed
- Locking the charging port
- Disabling automatic windshield wipers
- Turning off walk-away locking or security features
- Enabling free-roll or neutral mode when required
Failure to follow manufacturer guidelines may result in damage that is not covered by vehicle warranties or by Canal Car Wash. Customers are responsible for properly preparing their vehicle before entering the wash.
